A sense of incongruity felt during the training
In the Level 2 Home Helper course, I applied the knowledge and nursing care techniques I had learned in class over the course of 30 hours of practical training. One of the internships I was assigned to was at a home help service in downtown Tokyo, where I shadowed an instructor and visited clients' homes in a large metropolitan housing complex. I observed home help services in action and even assisted with some tasks, such as helping with bathing. The other location was a nursing care facility for the elderly, relatively close to my home. There, I had the opportunity to observe the facility and assist with both daycare services (various general tasks) and residential services (helping with meals and toileting).

ヘルパー2級講座（4）実習で感じた違和感
ヘルパー2級課程において、学科で学んだ知識やスクーリングのなかで習得した介護技術を、トータルすると30時間になる実習のなかで実践することになりました。私が配属された実習先は、一つは都心にある訪問介護事業所で、指導員の後ろにくっついて、都心の大きな都営団地にあった利用者のお宅にうかがって、訪問介護の実際を、少しだけお手伝い（入浴介助）もさせていただきながら、見学させていただきました。もう一か所は、自宅からも比較的近いところにあった介護老人保健施設であり、デイケアでの通所サービス（サービス全般）とともに入所サービス（食事介助や排泄介助）を、多少はお手伝いさせていただきながら見学させてもらいました。
