At this care facility, I was shocked by the reality of elderly care and welfare—such as the fact that elderly people had to rest on simple folding beds. At the same time, however, I was reminded of the importance of food in elderly care.
As there were no longer any users of the overnight accommodation service and a night-shift-only worker was no longer needed, I decided to resign in September 2016 (Heisei 28). During my time there, I was able to gain experiences that were a bit different from my previous care work, such as cooking and preparing breakfast. I am grateful to everyone I met at this care facility. Thank you very much.

この介護事業所では、例えば簡易ベッドで高齢者が休まなければならないといったような高齢者介護・福祉の現実を目の当たりにし、少なからざるショックを受けることになりましたが、それと同時に、高齢者介護における食事の重要性についても、改めて気付かせていただくことができました。
夜間の宿泊サービスを利用する方々がいなくなってしまって、夜勤専従職が必要なくなってしまったこともあり、2016（平成28）年9月に退職することになりました。朝食の調理や準備など、これまでの介護職としての経験とは一味違う経験をさせていただくことができました。この介護事業所で出会うことができた皆様に感謝いたします。ありがとうございました。 三代
