National examination for certified care workers
The 28th National Examination for Certified Care Workers, which I took, was held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 (Heisei 28). The exam was divided into a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session covered subjects related to humans and society, and care, while the afternoon session focused on the mechanisms of the mind and body, along with comprehensive questions. There were a total of 120 questions, primarily in a multiple-choice format with five options each. As I mentioned earlier, I had previously studied the main areas of welfare-related subjects when preparing for the national examination for certified psychiatric social workers two years earlier, so I was not too worried about the written test. However, when I saw the first question on the morning exam—about Kazuo Itoga’s philosophy on welfare for people with disabilities, titled “Let These Children Be the Light of the World”—I felt it was somewhat different from the trends in previous exams. I remember feeling tense—or rather, wary—thinking I might fail if I let my guard down.
The exam results were announced on March 28, 2016 (Heisei 28). The passing score for the written exam was 71 out of a possible 120 points. Since the typical passing score is said to be around 60%, I would say it was about the same as in most years. I believe that the sense of alert I felt from the very first question in the morning session paid off, and I passed with a score of 106 out of 120. Since I had already completed the care skills training course, I was exempt from the practical exam. As a result, I was able to successfully obtain my certified care worker qualification based on the results of the written exam.

介護福祉士国家試験
私が受験した第28回介護福祉士国家試験は、2016（平成28）年1月24日（日曜日）に行われました。午前と午後に分かれ、午前中の試験では、人間と社会および介護の領域に関する試験科目が出題され、午後の試験では、こころとからだのしくみ、総合問題の領域に関する試験科目が出題されました。出題数は全部で120問あり、五肢択一を基本とする多肢選択形式でした。以前にも述べましたが、私はこの2年前に精神保健福祉士国家試験を受験するために、福祉関連の領域を一通り勉強してきたので、それほど筆記試験には不安を感じていませんでした。しかし、午前中に行われた試験の第1問目に、糸賀一雄の「この子らを世の光に」という障害者福祉に関する思想について問う問題文を見て、今までの試験の傾向とは少し異なっているのを感じ、身が引き締まると言いますか、油断しているとやられてしまうと警戒したのを覚えています。
試験の結果は、2016（平成28）年3月28日に発表されました。筆記試験の合格基準点は、120点満点中71点でした。通常の基準点は、60%程度ということだったので、ほぼ通常通りの基準点だったのだろうと思います。私は、午前中の第1問目から警戒警報を発令したことが功を奏したようで、120点満点中106点で合格することができました。もちろん、実技試験は介護技術講習を受講したため免除となっていたので、筆記試験の結果をもって、無事に介護福祉士の資格を取得することができました。
