What is my ideal group home?
As mentioned earlier, I had worked at several elderly care facilities, including three group homes. The companies and organizations that ran these facilities seemed to have very different philosophies about elderly care. I also felt that the floor leaders and staff who interacted directly with the residents had very different thoughts and ideas about the kind of facility they wanted to create. Based on my experience at several elderly care facilities, I would like to briefly describe my ideal elderly care facility—particularly a group home—that I would like to work at, or the type of facility I would like to create if I were a floor leader. Naturally, since this is merely a hypothetical scenario, certain aspects may appear somewhat unrealistic. Nevertheless, I ask for your understanding, as I am currently only an outside observer with no direct involvement in elderly care facilities.

私が理想とするグループホームとは？
このように、3か所のグループホームをはじめとして、これまでいくつかの介護事業所で勤務してきましたが、その事業所を運営していた企業や団体の高齢者介護に対する理念についても、それぞれの組織で大きく異なっていたように思いましたし、また、実際の現場で利用者と直接関わっているフロアのリーダーや職員たちの、どのような施設にしていきたいかといったような思いや考え方に関しても、それぞれの事業所で異なっていたように思います。これまで、いくつかの介護事業所を渡り歩いてきた私ですが、その私がこんな職場で働いてみたい、あるいは、もしフロアのリーダーだったとしたら、このような施設を作ってみたいというような、私が考える理想的な介護施設、特にグループホームについて、ちょっと述べてみたいと思います。もちろん空想なので、多少突飛なところもあるかもしれないのですが、そこは介護の現場とは直接関係のない第三者という気楽な立場なので、ご容赦願いたいと思います。
