Until now, I have mainly submitted my work to genetics-related journals. However, because this paper contains very little genetic content and is more closely related to questions of human nature, I decided to submit it to an online journal in the humanities. As always, I had great difficulty translating my thoughts into English, but once again I was able to complete my manuscript with the help of the professor who supported me during my time in Edinburgh. Now that I am over 50 years old, my English ability has begun to decline noticeably, and I feel very sorry that I still have to rely on the same professor who helped me back then.

私は、これまで遺伝学系の雑誌に投稿することがほとんどでしたが、今回の論文については、遺伝学的な要素はほとんどなく、人間性に関連するものと考え、ヒューマニテイーに関連のあるオンライン・ジャーナルに投稿することにしました。相変わらず、自分が考えていることを英語に翻訳することにかなり苦労しましたが、今回もエジンバラで勉強していた時にお世話になっていた教授に、いろいろとみていただきながら論文原稿を執筆しました。50歳を過ぎ、英語の能力も衰えがかなり目立ってきましたが、エジンバラでお世話になっていた教授のお手をいつまでも煩わせてしまうことになってしまい、大変申し訳なく思っています。
